• Use Read Stacks fairly — don't scrape or redistribute paywalled content
• Summaries are editorial interpretations, not author endorsements
• Pro/Founder/Deluxe subscriptions are recurring; cancel anytime, no refunds for partial periods
• Affiliate links earn us commission on qualifying purchases (no extra cost to you)
• Standard limitations apply (no warranty, no consequential damages)

Who we are

Read Stacks is operated by Paulo de Vries, sole proprietor, registered in the Netherlands.

Content licensing

Chapter summaries on Read Stacks are editorial interpretations under fair use (commentary, criticism, scholarship). We don't reproduce books — we summarize, contextualize, and recommend. You may:

• Read summaries personally
• Quote with attribution + link back to Read Stacks
• Share specific URLs publicly

You may NOT:

• Reproduce summaries in bulk
• Scrape the site programmatically
• Redistribute paywalled content (Pro+ tier) outside your personal use
• Resell or republish summaries as your own

Tiers + billing

• Free tier: first chapter of every book + weekly stack email. No credit card.
• Pro: €4.99/mo or €49/yr — full library + playbooks. Billed via Stripe.
• Founder: €197/qtr — Pro + community + early access.
• Deluxe: €497/yr — Founder + 4× 1:1 calls + custom stack.
• Single-book PDFs (when launched): €9-29 one-time on Gumroad.

All subscriptions recur until cancelled. Cancel anytime from your account dashboard or by emailing hello@readstacks.com. No refunds for partial billing periods. Price changes notified 30 days in advance.

Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Scrape, automate, or reverse-engineer the site
• Share account credentials with others
• Bulk-export summaries for resale or redistribution
• Use the service for illegal activity

Violations may result in account termination without refund.

No warranty

The service is provided "AS IS" without warranty. Chapter summaries are editorial interpretations and may differ from the source author's intent. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Read Stacks' total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before any claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

Intellectual property

Read Stacks editorial content (chapter summaries, application playbooks, stack curation) is © Paulo de Vries. Underlying book content is © the respective authors/publishers; we link to their works.

Affiliate disclosure

We participate in Bookshop.org and Amazon Associates affiliate programs. When you buy a book through our links, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is disclosed in site footer and in every book page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
